Rockingham Writers Centre supports writers of all ability, genre and location.

Whether you’re a hobbyist or a professional, we offer groups, workshops and write-ins for all who wish to nurture their craft.

The Rockingham Writers Centre is an initiative of the FoRAC to create a vibrant hub of artistic community life in Rockingham.

RWC occupies rooms at Rockingham Arts Centre which we are fitting out with resources for our members including wifi, a computer work station, projection facilities and a library. Larger rooms are also available for events such as guest speakers, seminars, book fairs and other activities.

Rockingham Writers Centre is run by an enthusiastic and energetic team committed to offering writers at all stages of their development access to resources, support and a diverse program of activities.

The major focus of the RWC is to provide a venue and facilities for local writers to network and socialise. Activities include Regular Groups at different levels in their writing or in different genres or styles, Guest Speakers, Networking Nights, Workshops, Book Fairs, and other opportunities to promote and market the work of local authors.
