These regular groups form the backbone of our writing centre. They provide a place for discussion, sharing work, and communal learning.

BUSINESS OF WRITING 1st Thursday 9.30am – 11.30am 

for traditional and self-published authors to discuss all aspects of running your own business as a professional writer / author including marketing, editing & publishing.

EMERGING AUTHORS 2nd Thursday 7.00pm – 9.00pm

for writers with a basic to intermediate knowledge to discuss all aspects of the craft including critiquing each others work and participating in monthly challenges.

ASPIRING AUTHORS 4th Thursday 10.00am – 12.00pm

for developing writers to discuss all aspects of the craft including plotting, character development, structure, editing and staying motivated with the aim of publication.

SHORT STORY ANALYSIS 4th Thursday 7.00pm – 9.00pm

for writers interested in learning the elements and techniques specific to writing a memorable short story by examining those written by others.

for writers who are looking for encouragement and feedback from sharing their short stories.

for writers wishing to escape a distraction-filled home to write in quiet with like-minded authors.
