WRITING SUCCESSFUL GRANT APPLICATIONS

This informative and hands on workshop will take participants through the steps of researching available grants and using winning techniques to complete a funding application for individual or group projects. Bec has worked in the not-for-profit sector for over 25 years, with a wealth of experience and high success rate in applying for grants through various funding bodies.

WORLD BUILDING

World building can make or break fantasy, sci fi and historical novels. Join author Shona Husk as she takes you out of the ordinary and into a world where the unbelievable becomes real. Explore different ways to create new worlds, or rediscover lost worlds, and bring them to life. Be ready to write during this afternoon of world building.

Author and Co-director of Serenity Press, Monique Mulligan presents a new workshop on ‘Writing Good Dialogue’, a must for all aspiring novelists. This workshop will cover the purpose of dialogue, dialogue and character, how to write and edit dialogue and many more dialogue writing tips.

EDITING YOUR MANUSCRIPT

So you’ve written your manuscript and you know it’s not quite there yet – it needs more work. Participants will explore options and techniques available to you to polish your manuscript until it shines.

This workshop is suitable for aspiring and emerging writers and may even have a few tips for established authors. Workshop fees include a copy of Claire’s non-fiction book ‘Self Editing’.
