Bernadette Piper was born in Western Australia, and lived in the small country town Wongan Hills as a child. Those days were full of adventures, running wild and barefoot in the bush.
When the family moved back to the city, she was educated at a Catholic Girls School. She has backpacked around Europe in the seventies, before coming home to raise a family.
She has three children and three delightful grandchildren, and now has time to get back to her writing.
Bernadette now lives in Secret Harbour with her husband and a cranky old ginger cat her daughter rescued. He sits under her chair while she visits worlds she creates
and has adventures with her heroines and heroes.
